St. Mel’s parish and St. Mel’s Catholic Academy have a tremendously successful athletic association. Children have many sports to choose from. You can find more information in their website. Go Wildcats!
Early Drop Off
Students in all grades can be dropped off between 7 and 7:50. Families can pay by the day.
We offer an afterschool program until 5:30 every day.
Lessons are offered by an outside music school to students wishing to learn how play a musical instrument.
Student-elected government works to better our school and the community by working with the student body, teachers, parents, and the administration.
St. Mel’s is happy to partner with Tiger Tennis Academy to offer after-school tennis instruction to our students. Our students develop their physical and social skills while learning the fundamentals of tennis.
St. Mel’s is happy to partner with Bakers and Shakers to offer cooking classes. Our young chefs learn math and chemistry skills while getting to enjoy the foods that they make. All recipes are nut and allergen free. At the end of each semester, students will take home a cookbook of all the recipes they created.
St. Mel’s is happy to partner with the Gaelic Athletic Association to provide instruction in traditional Irish sports such as hurling and Irish football. In addition, they work with a strength and conditioning coach to improve their physical skills and promote a healthy lifestyle.
St. Mel’s is happy to partner with Chess Nuts to provide after school chess instruction to our students. Chess has been proven to increase cognitive skills such as problem-solving, memory, creativity and spacial mapping, giving our students the ability to boost their brainpower, while having fun.
In addition to our CYO sports programs, St. Mel’s offers an instructional soccer program through Soccer Friends USA. Students as young as nursery learn important social and physical skills while learning the fundamentals of soccer.
Students in grades 5-8 work in the Christian spirit of helping others in and out of our community.
Students work together with the yearbook director to create a memorable and fun compilation of the years classes and events.

Lunch is available every day of the week. It is ordered from various local establishments and it varies by month. Choices include pizza, bagels, chicken fingers and fries, and Chinese food. Parents complete a monthly lunch calendar to order.
